‘Media for Citizens – Citizens for Media’ is seeking proposals aimed at building capacities of CSOs in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia to promote Media and Information Literacy (MIL) practices and policies at local level.
Seven media development organizations in the Western Balkans have joined forces under an EU funded project, Media for Citizens – Citizens for Media (2018 – 2021), to build capacities of CSOs to advance media and information literacy (MIL) in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
Within the project, the implementing partner organizations are seeking proposals aimed at building capacities of CSOs in each of these countries to promote Media and Information Literacy (MIL) practices and policies at local level.
Who can apply?
The call for proposals is open to CSOs conducting activities aimed at the media, education, advocacy, public campaigning, art programs production or development of digital innovation projects.
What kinds of projects will be supported?
Two types of projects will be supported:
LOT 1: Projects supporting enhancement of citizens’ media and information literacy skills
LOT 2: Creative innovations – Art, media and technology production projects promoting innovation and accessibility in MIL education.
Budget and duration of proposed projects
The budget for this call for proposals is EUR 20,000 in each country, EUR 10,000 for each lot.
The requested grant must be between EUR 3,000 and 5,000.
Duration of projects should be between 6 and 10 months. Activities can commence on the date of contract signature and should end by 30 November 2020 at the latest.
